Cockroaches will spread a range of diseases that can cause infections. Cockroaches don’t directly infect you but the transmission occurs when they have contaminated an item that you’re in contact with.
Cockroaches are proven or suspected carriers of the organisms that cause the following infections:
- Dysentery
- Typhoid Fever
- Plague
- Campylobacteriosis
- Listeriosis
- Giardia
- Leprosy
- Salmonellosis
- Cholera
- Gastroenteritis
