This program consists of seven rounds of applications that protect your trees and shrubs from insects, mites, disease. 7-Round Tree & Shrub Program Details
Round 1: Dorman Oil Application
Administered January through February, Dormant Oil is applied when the trees and shrubs are dormant. This oil helps to control hibernating pests such as insect eggs.
Round 2: Tree & Shrub Fertilization
In February through March, specifically designed fertilizers are applied to the root zones of all landscape plants. This application encourages the growth of vibrant and healthy foliage. Included in this round is an insecticide to keep pests from destroying your landscaping.
Round 3: Insect and Disease Treatment
From April to May, plants are individually treated. This round provides for effective control of insects such as leaf miners, caterpillars, and lace bugs, as well as diseases such as leaf spots, rust scab, and leaf galls.
Round 4: Insect and Disease Treatment 2
For May to June months, control of summer insects such as weevils, mites, and beetles is provided. Disease control for any lingering spring leaf disease and powder mildew is also administered at this round.
Round 5: Insect and Disease Treatment 3
Administered July to August, is treatment 3 for insects and disease. Control of summer insects such as mites, aphids, and caterpillars is vital to the health of your lawn. Also, we’ll treat diseases such as scab, blight, and teal spots.
Round 6: Insect and Disease Treatment 4
In September through October, the fourth insect and disease treatment is applied. The landscape receives close monitoring at this time as insect and disease problems spread rapidly. Both insects and diseases are treated as needed.
Round 7: Fall Fertilization
Approaching the winter months in November through December, providing the greenery with nutrients is the goal. It is essential at this time to stimulate root growth and energy needed for next spring’s green-up.
